Guardian Family Program

Become a Guardian Family and bring home one of our specially selected Bernedoodles for only $400. Our Guardian Program allows our breeding dogs to grow up in loving family homes instead of a traditional kennel environment. Your Bernedoodle lives with you full-time as your family dog, while Bernedoodles & Co retains breeding rights for 3 litters.

You receive a specially selected female Bernedoodle for $400. She lives with you full-time and becomes part of your family. Bernedoodles & Co retains ownership and exclusive breeding rights while she participates in our breeding program. When it is time for her to have puppies, she will stay with us for delivery and while raising her puppies. After her 3rd and final litter, she officially retires from our breeding program. Bernedoodles & Co will arrange and pay for her spay, and full ownership will then transfer to her Guardian Family according to the Guardian Agreement.

As one of our Guardian Families, you’ll receive:

• A specially selected Bernedoodle for only $400
• Free boarding with Bernedoodles & Co
• A free professional haircut after each litter
• Breeding-related expenses paid by Bernedoodles & Co
• Spay paid for by Bernedoodles & Co after completion of the breeding program
• Ongoing support throughout your dog’s participation in the program
• The opportunity to follow your girl’s puppies and be part of their story

After her final litter, the option to select a male puppy from that litter for only $800, subject to availability and the Guardian Agreement

We’re looking for responsible families who will treat their Bernedoodle as a loved family member. Your dog should receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, socialization and training. Guardian Families must be comfortable caring for an intact female and closely monitoring her heat cycles. You must notify Bernedoodles & Co immediately when you notice that she is beginning a heat cycle. During her heat cycle, she must be kept completely away from intact male dogs.

Guardian Families are responsible for normal everyday pet care, including:

• High-quality food
• Routine veterinary care
• Vaccinations and preventative care
• Regular grooming
• Training
• Exercise
• Socialization
• Maintaining a safe home environment

You must also maintain regular communication with Bernedoodles & Co and make the dog available when needed for breeding-related appointments and care.

We manage and pay for breeding-related care and expenses. We coordinate her breeding, pregnancy and delivery. When it is time to have puppies, she stays with us in a safe and familiar environment while she delivers and raises her litter. After each litter, we provide her with a complimentary professional haircut before she returns to her Guardian Family.

After completing her 3rd litter, your girl officially retires from our breeding program. Bernedoodles & Co will pay for her spay. Once the requirements of the Guardian Agreement have been completed, full ownership will transfer to her Guardian Family. As an additional Guardian Family benefit, you will also have the opportunity to select a male puppy from her final litter for only $800, subject to availability and the terms of the Guardian Agreement. Our goal is simple: Your dog gets to spend her life in one loving home while helping us responsibly continue the next generation of Bernedoodles & Co puppies. And when her short breeding career is finished, she simply continues the life she already knows — with you. 🐾
